My Animal Photography- GCSE

Hi its Amy, Iv'e decided that I am going to upload 3 times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, because I seem that once a week is too long, I am going to do different things on the days though
For example:
TUESDAY= Beauty/skin routines.
FRIDAY= Photography
SUNDAY= Hauls (Beauty and clothing)

As now you know about what sort of things I will be posting, I will show you a few pictures I have taken recently and for anyone who is in for photography, or want to start photography, I will give you a few tips and things like that. (Most of these photographs were taken from a few weeks ago as I have been ill recently).

10 TIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY:
1. Make sure you have a good camera ( I have a 650D DSLR camera) and make sure that you have a reasonable size lens.

2. Invest in a macro lens (I don't use a real one I have a set of four and they are like magnifying glass covers?) These are really good and come in 4 different sizes x10, x2, x1 and x5 my favourite one to use is x5 as its not too big but you get amazing detail.

3. Have a camera bag: These are really helpful for carrying your camera, and lenses, also its waterproof so if its raining your camera will stay dry.

4. ESPECIALLY FOR ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY:- Make sure you wear suitable clothing because if it is raining you don't want to be wearing your best clothes, I usually just wear an old top (or jumper) with a waterproof coat and wellyboots, or just old boots.

5. Know your surroundings- go somewhere where you know the place and then you know what you are going to expect.

6. Know what time- For example if you want to take a picture of a deer, you wouldn't necessarily go out at lunchtime, because this isn't always a time you will find a deer, so I find it best going when i go dog walking (7:00- 8:00) I know this may seem really early, but if you want to get a good photo, it would be worth it.

7. WHAT SETTINGS TO USE: its best if you know your settings, because you don't want to take a blurred photo, or use the wrong setting, I find the best setting is closeup or portrait, especially animal portraits (such as pets) its really good as the flash isn't bright so it will hurt your pets eyes, and you get a good image.

8. Be quiet depending on the animal- if you want to take pictures of birds, the last thing you want to do is scare them off, so I find if you be patient and don't move they will stay longer, and you can get a good quality image.

9. FOR PET PHOTOGRAPHY:- know the animal, and if you are wanting to take pictures of other peoples dogs/horses/cats etc. ask the person first because you don't know how the animal will react.

10. YOU CAN USE YOUR PHONE- I bring my phone everywhere as I basically can't live without it, like most teenagers. I would recommend to bring a camera with you are well like a disposable camera, or an easier camera to hold, because you never know what you are going to find.

THESE ARE JUST A FEW OF MY TIPS I USE FOR PHOTOGRAPHY, and I find these are the most helpful.

Now here are some pictures that I have taken recently:

I took this photo, in May... which was ages ago, but it is one of my best photos that I had taken, and I used the sports setting, which captured her running towards me after throwing the ball for her.
I cropped in a little bit, as when I took it she was quite far away, but it shows just what a difference cropping a photo can do.

This is by far, one of my favourite photographs, I have ever taken, because I wasn't going to take a photo, as I had never taken a running photo, and it just ended going better than expected, so I'm really proud of the results of this photograph.

This is all for now, and if you liked this sort of things, or found it interesting please tell me in the comments, what sort of photography you are interested in and what you would like to see next,
Sorry this was a bit of a rambly post, but a few people have said they wanted to see some of the photographs that I have done.

Thank you for reading x
